Our organization, with over 200 locations across 7 countries, is seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Network Expert to play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our extensive network infrastructure. This role requires expertise in LAN/WAN/WLAN, SD-WAN, IP routing, network monitoring tools, and IP address management, along with a deep understanding of network optimization, troubleshooting, and scalability.
 
As part of this role, you will work on a dual front: driving innovation by integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance network performance while simultaneously modernizing and standardizing outdated systems to align with current industry standards. The Senior Network Expert collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, manages network-related projects, and ensures alignment with the organization's IT goals.

Role description

  • Design, configure, operate and optimize LAN/WAN/SD-WAN/WLAN infrastructure for high performance and cost efficiency across our 200+ locations in 7 countries
  • Implement and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable network solutions across all organizational sites
  • Manage and optimize network security devices and security features on network devices, including firewalls, VPNs, and zero-trust network policies
  • Manage and optimize network monitoring tools to proactively detect and resolve performance issues
  • Lead network-related projects, including rollouts, optimization initiatives, and tool upgrades
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior network engineers
    Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure successful delivery of projects and services

Your professional profile

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree is a plus)
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP or equivalent (CCIE certification is a plus)
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in network engineering roles, including senior-level positions
  • Experience in leading network projects in mid-size companies
  • Proven expertise in LAN/WAN/SD-WAN technologies (such as Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in English (mandatory), German

For this position, we offer a gross annual salary of € 70.000,00 on a full-time basis (All-In) above the collective agreement plus variable salary components with the willingness to overpay with appropriate experience and qualifications.
