Role description
- Provide timely and effective 1st and 2nd level technical support for internal systems and our customer-facing products via phone, email, and in-person
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues, including those specific to our company's product line
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and security
- Manage user accounts and access permissions within Active Directory and other relevant systems, including those related to customer product access
- Monitor and maintain network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and server systems, proactively identifying and resolving potential issues
- Document support requests, resolutions, and procedures in our ticketing system, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including product-specific support documentation
Your professional profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience in an IT support role, demonstrating a strong track record of problem-solving and customer service, ideally with experience supporting proprietary products
- Proficient in troubleshooting and resolving issues across Windows (macOS and Linux as a plus) operating systems, as well as network infrastructure, and demonstrates ability to quickly learn new product specific technologies
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Active Directory and user management, as well as enterprise platforms
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira Service Management) and IT documentation best practices, and the ability to create product troubleshooting documentation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and concisely, and the ability to empathize with customers experiencing product issues
- Hands-on experience with hardware maintenance for desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Fluency in German and English
